For Dealer Principals & General Managers

Hiring a finance manager for your New Jersey store?

James Lopez — automotive Finance & Business Manager, available immediately to New Jersey dealerships. In the box since 2018 — fifteen-plus units a month on the floor before that — a funding-first process, and the dashboards 20 groups keep preaching. Every system I run is laid out on this site — review the systems before the first conversation.

The Seat I Fill

Finance Manager · Business Manager · F&I Manager

Franchise or independent, high-line or high-volume — my desk runs the same way everywhere: menu, ink, funding, compliance. The standard doesn't move. The difference is what comes with it.

The Numbers Dealers Hire On

PVR & penetration, managed daily

Back-end gross, product penetration, lender performance, and CIT aging tracked on live boards — not discovered on the month-end statement. CSI protected by a consultative, never-pushy menu.

Automated Reporting

Built on your DMS, whatever it is

CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds, Dealertrack, or anything else — I build the automated reporting on top of what you already run, in Power BI, SQL, and Python. See the standards I run at every level of the store.

The Floor

A sales team that hits Saturdays

Two confirmed appointments per rep every Saturday, a goal cascade that connects the month to the morning, and coaching built with your sales managers. See the full playbook with sample data.

The Long Game

A manager who's planning to stay

A written 5-year development plan — AFIP, NJ CAR, OEM certification, NADA Academy — built to be earned inside one store, in whatever seat ownership decides I've earned.

Hiring Questions, Answered

Before you call

What roles will you consider?
Finance Manager, Business Manager, and F&I Manager seats at New Jersey dealerships — franchise or independent — at a store worth committing to for the long term. The full development plan is on the Roadmap.
What areas of New Jersey are you available in?
Based in Central New Jersey, available statewide — deepest roots in Middlesex and Somerset counties and the Route 1, Route 22, and Route 9 dealership corridors.
What metrics do you manage to?
PVR and back-end gross, product penetration, contracts-in-transit aging, funding speed, lender performance, and CSI — on automated boards, reported to ownership monthly.
Can you modernize our reporting?
Yes — that's the edge. Whatever DMS and CRM your store runs, I build the automated reporting on top of it: daily activity boards, goal cascades, and funding trackers with no self-reporting. Samples are on the Playbook page.
Doesn't a 5-year plan mean you'll leave?
Backwards — the plan only works inside one store. Every certification and promotion on the Roadmap is one I intend to earn where I'm hired. Develop me, and you keep the build.
Do you take F&I consulting or process-install work?
Yes. For New Jersey stores that aren't hiring a full-time seat, I take short F&I consulting engagements: process installs, compliance tune-ups, menu standards, and reporting builds in Power BI and SQL — the same systems on the Playbook and management standards. Call to scope it.
Why are you available right now?
My store — Woodbridge Ford — was sold in 2026. Nothing to hide and nothing to spin: the ownership changed, and I'm looking for the next store worth committing to for years. Available immediately.
What's the fastest way to interview you?
Call or text 609-480-6826. Review the Playbook and Why Me pages first if you want the systems on the table before we talk.

The Desk Is Open

One call. Bring your pain points.

Funding slow? Back end soft? Saturdays flat? That's the conversation I want. Available immediately — my last store was sold — and every conversation stays confidential. Call or text, answered same day.
